Today I would like to wish a Happy Mother's Day to the childless mothers. To the women who hoped and dreamed to be mothers but were chosen for other callings...Aunties, Friends, Big Sisters, Puppy Mommies. To women who love children and have so much love to give but are never acknowledged for the empty space that appears in their heart from time to time, especially on days like today.  Today I would like to wish a Happy Mothers Day to the women who have never given birth to a child but have carried a child. On days like today you calculate how old your child would be and what they might look like and how they might celebrate you, or not, knowing kids these days! Today I would like to wish my husband's grandmother a Happy Mother's Day for sending me my first Mother's Day card, at age 39. How lonely it can get when everyone your age, everyone older and younger around you seems to be a mother. Thank you for thinking of me and acknowleding me and SEEING me.
Happy Mother's Day to all mothers, especially the childless ones.

I went to you facebook page, a day late I realize, to message you and saw that you had posted this on your blog. I thought about you yesterday and somehow couldn't make myself call you. I know I would have cried, which is ok, but I just couldn't. So I'll use this less personal way of letting you know that you are loved. I hope it will suffice. Let me know when a good time is to get together for you in general and we'll take the kids for a walk. Love ya!
